HCMC Clinics To Distribute Covid Test Kits Friday

The HCMC Medical Clinics is partnering with GrowWell TN to provide you with ways to keep your family healthy during a drive thru event where you can receive health information, COVID-19 rapid tests, health kits, and more while supplies last.

On Friday, February 4 HCMC Medical Clinics will be hosting the “Heart of It All” Drive Thru event at three locations distributing these kits while supplies last.  Only one kit per household and supplies are limited.  Additionally, those wearing red at the drive thru event can also pick up a tube of red lipstick in honor of Wear Red Day and our goal of “kissing heart disease goodbye.”

Locations and times are as follows:

• Eagle Creek Clinic – 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. • HCMC Hospital Circle – 12 Noon to 1:30 p.m. Participants are asked to enter hospital circle from the North entrance (road right past the Emergency Room entrance) and head to the tent that will be located at the entrance to Cardiac Rehab to pick up their kits.

• Paris Pediatrics – 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The inclement weather date is Friday, February 11 with same times and locations.  They are also planning another opportunity partnering with the Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce to distribute these kits.  If successful, there may be more opportunities in the future.

“With the increase of cases in our county and region, we wanted to provide our community with education on staying healthy as well as tools to utilize if you get sick to help you monitor your health status,” said Tory Daughrity, Director of Marketing and Public Relations.  “The kits come with a pulse oximeter, thermometer, two rapid tests, hand sanitizer, masks, as well as education not just about COVID-19, but heart health, everyday wellness, and new services that we are offering to care for your entire mind, body, and soul.  We are thankful to partner with GrowWell TN, the Paris and Henry County Healthcare Foundation, and our Medical Clinics to be able to offer these tools to the families we serve.”

The kits, education, and events are grant funded by the Rural Health Clinic COVID-19 Programs including Testing and Mitigation as well as Vaccine Confidence programs.  Additionally, they are funded by the Delta COVID-19 supplemental funding.  For more information about this event or other activities related to HCMC, please go online at www.hcmc-tn.org.
